Midfielder extends his contract ahead of schedule
Matteo Costa will continue to wear the black and blue jersey of FSV Frankfurt in the coming season. The 19-year-old midfielder made the leap from the Bornheim club’s U19s to the FSV Frankfurt first team at the start of last season and has made a total of ten competitive appearances for the black-and-blue club in both seasons to date.
Matteo Costa: ‘I have a positive outlook on the upcoming season and am grateful to be able to continue wearing the FSV Frankfurt jersey. I feel very comfortable at the club and would like to take my next steps here and, above all, develop my footballing skills.’
Tim Görner, Head Coach FSV Frankfurt: ‘Matteo is a very talented centre midfielder in whom we see great potential, which we will continue to develop together with him. With his running ability, overview and ball security, he has everything it takes to become an important component in his position.’
Thomas Brendel, Sporting Director FSV Frankfurt: ‘I’m delighted that Matteo Costa has extended his contract. Even though he has only received a small amount of playing time so far, I am firmly convinced that Matteo can become a factor in the coming season, especially as he has finished his school education and can concentrate fully on football.’
