National goalkeeper passes away unexpectedly
FSV Frankfurt mourns the loss of former international goalkeeper and Werder Bremen legend Dieter Burdenski, who passed away unexpectedly today, Wednesday, at the age of 73. “Budde”, as he was affectionately known, was in goal for SV Werder Bremen for over 16 years and played a total of twelve games for the German national team between 1977 and 1984.
Dieter Burdenski was very close to FSV Frankfurt. Among others, his son Fabian played for the black and blue team at Bornheimer Hang for many years.
FSV Frankfurt wishes the bereaved a lot of strength in this difficult time.
