125 years of FSV as a book
125 years of FSV Frankfurt – Comprehensive commemorative publication to mark the anniversary
The opulent commemorative publication is a double journey through time – into the eventful past and into the near future of the Frankfurt 1899 soccer club, one of the clubs “with the most varied and remarkable history” in Germany” (DFB President Bernd Neuendorf).
Just a few of the many topics: Historian Dr. Markwart Herzog describes the phenomenal rise of FSV in the 1920s under its two Jewish presidents, Dr. David Rothschild and Alfred J. Meyers. Franziska Blendin recounts the outstanding successes of FSV women’s soccer.
FSV board member Eugen Emmerling recalls the dramatic days and months during and after FSV’s insolvency and double relegation from Bundesliga 2 – the successful #restart FSV 2017. And Robert Lempka, Managing Director of FSV Fußball GmbH, gives an outlook on the footballing goals and the ways in which they are to be achieved.
Last but not least, FSV fans have their say in words and pictures. And the Titanic, taz and FAZ author Dr. Jürgen Roth not only pays tribute to the special relationship between the writer Ror Wolf and FSV Frankfurt, but also dedicates several seasons between 2009 and 2022 to peppered literary satires.
The commemorative publication celebrating the 125th anniversary of FSV Frankfurt 1899 will be available from August 29, 2024 for €18.99 at fan merchandise outlets at FSV home matches and online at fsv-shop.de.
