After Gottwalt, Eichhorn now also extends his contract with FSV
FSV Frankfurt have announced that Jan-Erik Eichhorn has extended his contract with the Bornheim club for a further year, with an additional one-year option. By extending his contract, the defender will now continue to wear the FSV crest in the coming season, regardless of his league affiliation. The 23-year-old spent his youth playing soccer at Hannover 96, including for the U23s of the second division club, before moving to the Black & Blue side in Hesse in the summer of 2023. Eichhorn tore a muscle in his hamstring in the match against TSG Hoffenheim II on March 1, 2025 and will therefore be out for the rest of the season.
Jan-Erik Eichhorn: “I am delighted to have extended my contract with FSV. I feel very comfortable both at the club and in the city. We developed very well as a club last season and I would like to contribute to this development in the coming season as well. I’m looking forward to the coming season and want to get the best out of it with the team.”
Tim Görner, Head Coach FSV Frankfurt: “Beppo has established himself as a mainstay over the past two years and embodies maximum commitment in everything he does. His defensive desire, paired with his offensive drive and his willingness to run, gives our game a lot of dynamism.”
Robert Lempka, Managing Director of FSV Frankfurt: “Beppo has developed into one of the team’s key players this season. I really appreciate his discipline and his open and honest manner. His development is far from complete and I’m delighted that he’s putting his trust in us for at least another year.”
