The youngest participant in the class: Tim Görner is the new holder of a DFB Pro license.
On Monday evening, 17 successful graduates of the 70th DFB Pro License Course were honored by the German Football Association in Frankfurt am Main. Among them was FSV head coach Tim Görner, who, at the age of 29, was the youngest participant in the class and celebrated his new qualification with 16 other graduates. The ceremony marked the festive conclusion of Germany’s highest coaching license level, bringing to an end twelve months of training with over 700 learning units.
The Pro License course, the reformed successor to the former soccer coaching training program, took place for the third time at the DFB Campus in a blended learning format. Participants had access to modern training grounds and versatile facilities. In addition, the coaches were given assignments via the online campus to implement in their clubs. They received individual feedback on these assignments, such as video recordings, from the instructors and course participants. The license training for professional coaches, which was adapted in 2022, has led to an improved instructor-participant ratio, partly due to the reduced number of participants.
Tim Görner, head coach at FSV Frankfurt: “I am very proud and grateful to have been part of the 70th Pro License course, but at the same time I am almost a little sad that the year with all its impressions is already over. Even after the course, I am striving for continuous development through reflection and the courage to innovate, and I am looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
Robert Lempka, Managing Director of FSV Frankfurt 1899 Fußball GmbH: “As a club, we are very proud that Tim, who came up through the ranks at FSV Frankfurt, has obtained the highest coaching license. He is a very talented, dedicated, and young coach who has developed enormously through his participation in the DFB Pro License course.”
In addition to Görner, the following 16 graduates also took part:
Heiner Backhaus (Alemannia Aachen), Silvio Bankert (1.FC Magdeburg), Lars Barlemann (Hannover 96), Pascal Bieler (most recently TSV Steinbach), Daniel Brinkmann (Hansa Rostock), Mads Buttgereit (German national team), Loïc Favé (Hamburger SV), Jan Fießer (Eintracht Frankfurt), Kristjan Glibo (most recently Eintracht Frankfurt), Stefan Kleineheismann (SpVgg Greuther Fürth), Andreas Patz (Jahn Regensburg), Marc Pfitzner (Eintracht Braunschweig), Merlin Polzin (Hamburger SV), Orest Shala (FC St. Gallen), Marc Unterberger (most recently SpVgg Unterhaching), Marian Wilhelm (Viktoria Köln)
