In order to be able to involve members, fans and spectators more in the co-creation and decision-making processes of the FSV Frankfurt 1899 e. V. (FSV), it was decided in 2017 to establish a fan and support department as part of the Extraordinary General Meeting.
In accordance with the new statutes, the FSV’s Fan and Promotion Department (FuFa) was established on February 19, 2018. This was the starting signal for the work of the FuFa.
Self-Conception of the FuFa
We see ourselves as an active department whose members plan and carry out activities for existing fans and members of the club, but also for potential new supporters and members.
Our members undertake to be available at least once a year for the implementation of activities planned and coordinated by the department.
We work as unbureaucratically as possible and above all democratically to act as the mouthpiece of all members, fans, spectators and interested parties.
We do not question the autonomy of individual fan groups at all. Rather, we offer the opportunity to serve as a mouthpiece in the association.
We work constructively with the fan project without pursuing the goal of taking over the tasks and competencies of the fan project.
Objectives of the FuFa
- Representing all fans (fan clubs, Ultras or unorganized) and members and their interests in the club committees
- Promoting the presence of and interest in the association FSV Frankfurt
- Attracting fans and members to the department and thus to FSV Frankfurt
Functions of the FuFa
- Strengthening the fan base by planning and organizing events and activities (e.g. fan festivals, fan club tournaments, Bornheim parade, carnival parade, Christmas market, etc.).
- Planning, organization and implementation of marketing campaigns (e.g. poster and flyer campaigns, etc.)
- Planning and organization of (cross-block) choreographies in coordination with the groups for special occasions
- Planning and organization of (special) away trips/support for the club
- Planning and organizing activities around the games (e.g. stand in front of the Rewe supermarket, creative ideas to attract members or spectators, fan party after the game, etc.).
- Performing organizational activities at club events (e.g. stewarding, catering, etc.)
- Planning, organization and implementation of social and charitable activities within and outside the field of sport
- Planning and involvement in the design and ordering of fan merchandise
