Matchday 33: FC-Astoria Walldorf vs. FSV Frankfurt

The 2024/2025 Regionalliga Südwest season is drawing to a close. FSV Frankfurt, who were still playing for the championship months ago, will finish in mid-table at the end of the season. Tomorrow, the Black & Blues travel to FC-Astoria Walldorf for their last away game of the season. FSV want to go on the hunt for points once again and say a proper farewell to their fans in the last two games of the summer break.

On matchday 16, Bornheim welcomed FC-Astoria Walldorf to their home PSD Bank Arena. Head coach Matthias Born’s side led 2-0 after almost 30 minutes of play, but FSV quickly caught up and equalized through Lucas Hermes and Cas Peters before the half-time whistle to make the final score 2-2.

Over the course of the current season, Astoria Walldorf have mainly been in mid-table, beating promoted Eintracht Trier 5-0 at home and promotion candidates Stuttgarter Kickers 3-2. The team currently in eleventh place in the table is fighting against relegation, but is in a good position to stay in the league.
