New centre-back for FSV

FSV Frankfurt welcomes back Lukas Gottwalt as its next new signing for the 24/25 regional league season. The 26-year-old defender joins from Bavarian regional league club Würzburger Kickers. Gottwalt previously played for Turkish second-division club Göztepe, which he joined in the summer of 2022. Lukas Gottwalt already played for FSV in the 21/22 season, including for 1.FC Kaiserslautern. Lukas Gottwalt enjoyed his footballing education in the youth teams of SpVgg Fechenheim, FSV Frankfurt and Rot-Weiß Frankfurt, among others.

Thanks to the good cooperation in the 21/22 season and the constant contact he has maintained, he already knows parts of the team, was warmly welcomed and therefore doesn’t need a long integration period. He is a very strong, experienced centre-back, who will also provide a lot of danger offensively and security defensively with his header game on resting balls. Having already played for FSV at youth and senior level, he fully embodies the Bornheim virtues.”
