Presidium is re-elected
On Monday, 18 November 2020, FSV Frankfurt 1899 e.V. held its regular Annual General Meeting. Over 200 members, 170 of whom were entitled to vote, accepted the invitation from the Executive Committee. Items on the agenda included the election of the Executive Committee and the Council of Honour, as well as honours for long-standing members.
After a brief welcome, President Michael Görner looked back on a successful year at the e.V., before Managing Directors Robert Lempka gave an insight into past and future activities in both the infrastructural and sporting areas and Patrick Spengler gave an insight into the club’s finances.
The next item on the agenda was the election of the Executive Committee and the Board of Honour. The actions of the Executive Committee with its President Michael Görner and Vice Presidents Martin Schaper and Stephan Siegler were approved by a large majority and they were confirmed in their positions for a further three years. One of the Presidium’s first official acts will be to appoint the new Board of Directors, as the old one was dissolved with the discharge of the Presidium. The FSV Frankfurt Board of Honour was also newly elected. This is made up of Rainer Grimm, Karl-Heinz Volz, Norbert Heibertshausen, Ansgar Marx and Marco Hochhaus.
After an open question and answer session, it was finally time to honour long-standing members, including Karl-Heinz Volz, who received a standing ovation when he was honoured for 50 years of club membership. In addition to his long membership, Volz was also a goalkeeper at FSV Frankfurt for over nine years. Special congratulations and honours also went to Bernd Franke, who was honoured for his 60 years of membership.
